Hosting Agency Requirements & Terms
To ensure a successful and financially viable training experience, the following requirements apply to all agencies hosting a course through Altitude Risk Mitigation, LLC. By agreeing to host a course, the agency acknowledges and accepts the terms outlined below:
1. Minimum Paying Student Requirements (Based on Travel Distance)
Student minimums are based on the distance from the Altitude Risk Mitigation, LLC main office to the host agency’s primary address, as calculated via Google Maps:
- 0–6 hours one-way travel: Minimum of 10 paying students
- 6–8 hours one-way travel: Minimum of 15 paying students
- 8+ hours one-way travel: Minimum of 20 paying students
2. Promotion and Registration Updates
Hosting agencies are responsible for promoting the course to their network and partner agencies. Altitude Risk Mitigation will support through digital marketing and social media but relies on the host for local outreach. Weekly registration updates will begin approximately eight weeks out from the course start date. A final student reminder email will be sent out one week prior to the course.
3. Classroom & Training Space Requirements
The host agency must provide access to:
- A classroom each day with seating up to 50 students, presentation-capable monitors/projectors, and a whiteboard.
- For tactical courses, a building or facility that includes:
- Hallways, doorways, and stairwells
- Open spaces for movement drills
- Parking lots for surveillance and vehicle takedown scenarios
If available, vehicles from participating agencies may be staged for use in scenario-based drills (NLTA will not be fired at or into these vehicles).
4. Student Equipment Requirements
Each student or agency is responsible for bringing the following equipment for participation in tactical drills:
- NLTA weapon platforms and ammunition (e.g., Simunition FX, UTM, ATK)
- Individual PPE: eye protection, gloves covering all fingers, two long-sleeved shirts, long pants
- Tactical vest and helmet
- Manual breaching tools (e.g., ram, sledge, pry tools) – one set per agency
- A redacted copy of an actual operations plan previously executed by their unit
- Notetaking materials and clothing suitable for all weather conditions
5. Safety & Conduct
All attendees must adhere to course safety rules. No live weapons or ammunition are permitted during any NLTA or scenario-based portion of the course. Violations will result in removal from the class without refund.
6. Agreement to Terms
By confirming course dates and agreeing to host, the agency accepts all conditions listed above, as well as those outlined in our general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which are publicly available and linked in our site footer.
